While on a recent trip to Madrid, the Holy Spirit reminded me of how amazing it is to spend time in His presence in true solitude.
As you read this post, I pray Luke 24:45 (TPT) over you, that God will “…supernaturally unlocked their understanding to receive the revelation of the Scriptures….” included here.
The hotel that I stayed at offered a spa package which included use of a sauna. I visited the spa late in the evening, so I had an entire sauna room with shower etc. all to myself. I spent time relaxing and rejuvenating, and my lesson came when I entered the sauna.
I sat in the hot room and quietly began to worship and praise my Abba Father. I had no chores to do, I wasn’t worrying about what I was going to prepare for dinner, and I didn’t have to chauffeur anyone to games or rehearsals. I was completely unencumbered, so my mind was fully present to the moment and completely focused on what I was singing.
There was such a wonderful sense of God’s presence in the sauna that in one 15-minute block of my sauna cycle, I felt like I had touched heaven.
This was the beginning of a lesson on the power that comes from time spent in solitude with God.
The peace of God enveloped me and I felt like I could walk on water. Genesis 1:26 came alive to me. It says, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
At that moment, I understood with new clarity and depth, that ‘I have been granted authority (dominion) over all the realms of the earth.’ Are you seeing what that scripture declares?
The Holy Spirit then reminded me of Luke 10:19 which says, “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”
I understood on a whole new level, that ‘the enemy, in all of his power, is subject to me, and that there is nothing that he could do that would harm me.’ Is this sinking in for you?
Next, the Holy Spirit brought John 14:12 to my mind. In this scripture, Jesus says, “… He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do….”
I grasped the mindblowing truth that since I am a believer, I can do all the things (works) that Jesus did and more. The miracles that Jesus did, began to run through my mind like a movie reel.
Are you freaking out yet? Because at this point. I could no longer sit calmly in the sauna and sing, I was down on my face, worshiping God in complete reverence. I’m sure I felt like David did when he exclaimed, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me….” in Psalm 139:6.
I was overwhelmed by the implications of these three scriptures. These scriptures that I had read, and quoted, and written about in the past were almost brand new to me. They came alive in a whole new way as the Holy Spirit gave me the ability to truly understand them.
These implications flooded my mind: ‘We shall heal the sick, we shall mend broken hearts, we shall move mountains, we shall open prison doors, we shall bring dead things and situations back to life, we shall cause the rain to fall in desert places, we shall do creative miracles, we shall alter destinies, we shall change lives….’
It was then, when I felt like I was about to explode, that the Holy Spirit increased my capacity and said to me, “Now, in obedience, call together women from around the globe to tap into this reality. Those who need to be healed, those who are in need, those who feel stuck, those with callings that seem overwhelming, those who have lost hope, those who are broken-hearted, those who feel depressed, those who are stuck in generational cycles, those who look like they have it all together but know better, those who are in bondage, those who I have called for this season….”
Throughout scripture we see Jesus creating moments of solitude. In Mark 6:46 after feeding the five thousand, and before walking out on the lake to meet the disciples, “Jesus went up on a mountainside to pray”.
“Mark 11:35 describes another one of Jesus’ moments of solitude. It says, “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed”.
During moments of solitude we are better able to hear from God, so they are potentially periods of refreshing, repositioning and empowerment.
Out of our practice of solitude, and in simple obedience to the Holy Spirit, we at Quiet Confidence will be hosting ‘QC Moments (with Him)’. We are standing on 1 Thessalonians 5:24, “He (God), who calls you is faithful, and He will also fulfill His call.” We are fully dependent upon God to fulfill His purposes, so each person’s experience will therefore be curated by the Holy Spirit, not us.
If you fit any of the “those” above, or if you feel the need for ‘Moments with God’, I invite you to join us.
These QC Moments (with Him), will be 30 – 60 minute blocks of virtual worship, scripture reading and prayer. Attendees can log in at any time during the block, and by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit they will supernaturally receive from God exactly what they are looking for/need to receive from Him. Come expecting a divine encounter.
We are expecting the Holy Spirit to do the miraculous during these QC Moments, and we believe that there will be many testimonies, so we will provide a link to make it easy to share your testimonies.
Details will follow soon, on our website and social media platforms. We can’t wait to see what the Holy Spirit does in response to our obedience. We are beyond excited, and pray that you are too.
If you’ve never asked Christ to be Lord of your life please pray this prayer. ‘Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin please forgive me, cleanse me, and make me your child. I commit my life to you today, and ask you to be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, amen.’
We would love to hear about your journey, and if you just became a child of God, we have some resources to share with you. Please leave a comment or use the contact us form to connect with us.
If this post blessed you, please consider sharing QC within your sphere, and check the box: “Notify me of new posts by email” to be among the first to receive new QC posts.
