Absolutely Stunning!

A friend recently shared a photo of the floral designs at a wedding, and I gasped! I couldn’t help but scroll from one breathtaking design to the next, each a little more extravagant than the next. When I saw all the images in his post, I clicked the @ to the Instagram page and what I saw was astonishing. Design after design left me in complete awe.

I then found the company website and was completely blown away by the amazing talent, skill, and creativity. I had to find out who the person behind it all was. Then I was satisfied.

This very short quest, led me to think of my life as a follow of Christ, and ask the question, ‘When people look at my life, does it propel them on an almost relentless journey that eventually leads to Christ?’

Am I leaving people in awe, stunned, and astonished as I live my life, to such an extent that I am sending them on a quest to find out who the person behind it all is? Is my life leading people to Jesus?

God’s word says that as a follower of Christ, I am supposed to draw/point people to Christ by my words and actions, or just by being.

Matthew 5:16 (TPT) says, “So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

2 Corinthians 3:3 (MSG) says, “Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit….”

According to 1 Corinthians 3:20, “We are ambassadors/ emissaries of the Kingdom of God.” We’ve been sent on a special mission, as diplomatic representatives. Ambassadors don’t follow their own agenda, they speak with the voice of the nation they represent and serve the interests of said nation.

Here’s more on our mission, “God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives.” 1 Corinthians 5:16-20 MSG, excerpts.

Are you getting this? That’s a very important responsibility. The understanding that we get the honor of pointing others to the grace, and hope, and peace, and joy, and love that is in Christ, every day of our lives, sometimes just by ‘being’, is a lot to wrap my head around, but it is the truth.

In conclusion, I pray the words of 2 Corinthians 13:14 over you, “Now, may the grace and joyous favor of the Lord Jesus Christ, the unambiguous love of God, and the precious communion that we share in the Holy Spirit be yours continually. Amen!”
May we be empowered to live lives that lead others to experience God in His fulness. Amen!

If you’ve never asked Christ to be Lord of your life please pray this prayer. Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin please forgive me, cleanse me, and make me your child. I commit my life to you today. Amen.

  1. Amen. Or rather ouch! Tough to think that we are on display. May we align to our Father in Heaven, the Master, and Christ’s example and the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
